5.1. Surface extreme values

NOTE: this has been added on WRF source code in version v3.3.1

In order to better capture extreme simualted values, clWRF captures extreme values from internal time-steps. Results are shown for 10 different points of the domain of simulation. Location of different time-series evolution. 'tslist' station evolution is compared to: temporal evolution as would be obtained when 3h frequency of standard output is used and clWRF 24 hour extremes

This option is activated with two 'namelist.input' values in 'time_control' section:

5.2. Gas assimilation

A sensitivity test for four times of gas mixing ratio on the assimilation of A1B gas mixing ratios is shown as a way to illustrate the correct working of clWRF. Here are presented differences for four surface variables: temperature, accumulated precipitation, pressure and humidity at the end of simulation with respect to the simulation without any modification on gas mixing ratio file.

5.5. Time-Moving/Non-moving accumulations

Time moving accumulations are defined as that accumulations computing for a period of time that is moving along the simulated period. Instantaneous precipitations for the desired period are stored on a vector. At each new time-step, new precipitation is stored removing the oldest one. After the accumulation is computed and if its is higher than the last maximum its value is stored. Additional variables are computed with the instantaneous precipitations of the period: mean value, standard deviation, time and value of the maximum instantaneous precipitation. As a given example:
